Pride Of Wrestling: "Rock/Wrestling" Results

- Brodie Lee, Mikey Vaughn, and Kryptik Keegan defeated The New Jersey Independent All-Stars in 8:11 when Brodie Lee connected with a Big Boot on Orange Cassidy. Danny Rage and Lucky were seen carrying an unconsious Cassidy to the locker room.

- DJ Hyde, Adam Cole, Alex Colon, Massive Mike, The Sensational One, and Louis G. Rich accepted the Pride Of Wrestling Open Battle Royal Challenge, competing for a Pride Of Wrestling Contract. Hyde, a foot taller and over 100lbs larger than any other competitor, eliminated every last participant, while Louis Rich, apparantly suffering from a sudden outbreak of "limbertail", paced the ringside area and avoided all contact. DJ Hyde and Louis Rich were the finalists, and would compete later in the evening.

- Al Snow made his first appearance of the evening coming to the ring for an interview. He thanked the people of Bushkill for coming out, and promised everyone that he would leave Fernwood the New VWA Unified Heavyweight Champion. Devon Moore, one of his opponents in the main event, arrived on the scene, telling Snow to not interfere with his 18 month odyssey and stay out of his way as it came to the championship. VWA Unified Heavyweight Champion Joey Davino arrived on the scene, and attempted to discredit both challengers, calling Snow a "Joke" and implying that he wasn't even aware who Devon was. Snow told Joey to "run along and polish the belt." because he wanted it nice and shiny for his flight home. Davino and Moore left in disgust as Snow led the crowd in a "What does everybody Want?" chant.

- Bruno DeMaio, accompanied by manager "Slick" Paul Williams, defeated Tuck Hanson, who was answering Bruno's open challenge. After a brief flurry of offense, the overmatched Hanson fell prey to a sadistic DeMaio assault, including a vertical suplex on the arena floor, and a deadly Death Valley Driver which secured the pin for Bruno. After the bout, DeMaio began to strangle Hanson with his foot, laying all 340lbs+ directly on Hanson's throat. Mikey Vaughn attempted to give Hanson assistance, only to be met with a scoop piledriver from DeMaio as he entered the ring. Finally, Brodie Lee arrived on the scene, and a ferocious battle between Lee and Bruno erupted. The ring filled with referees, VWA Officials, and even Pride Of Wrestling President Ritch Howe, who instructed "Slick" Paul Williams to remove Bruno from the ring area. As Howe was leaving, Brodie yelled for Ritch to "get the papers together, because I'll do it anytime."

- Former VWA Unified Champion Matt Turner defeated "Addicted To Love" Rhett Titus in 12:00 with the Fujiwara Armbar. Titus was accompanied by Rebekah Rhinestone, who came to the ring admiring herself in a hand-held mirror. Match was a see-saw battle, with neither man maintaining a clear advantage throughout the match. Turner was able to connect with several hard forearms to Titus' jaw, and Titus responded in turn with vicious kicks, punches, and a modified legdrop he referred to as "Rhettsky The Jetski". Shortly after, Ms. Rhinestone attempted to interfere on Titus' behalf, but Turner countered by dragging Rhinestone into the ring and spanking her. Titus attempted to capitalize, but fell victim to the deadly submission. Turner offered his hand in respect after the match (Both are Ring Of Honor graduates), but Titus threw a phantom punch and fled the ring quickly. Turner then caught the attention

- DJ Hyde defeated Louis G. Rich (accompanied by Jaden) to claim his Pride Of Wrestling Contract. Adam Cole and Alex Colon assaulted Hyde with a chair as Hyde made his entrance, obviously at the prompting of Louis Rich. Hyde was rolled into the ring, seemingly for an easy win, but Hyde was able to recover, and began to inflict punishment on Rich as soon as his bearings returned. Several hard knife edge chops later, Hyde executed the spear and set for the Lariat. Jaden, however, hopped onto the ring apron in a vein attempt to distract Hyde while Rich wrapped a chain around his fist. Rich instead clobbered Jaden with the chain, then found himself on the recieving end of a vicious Lariat. 3 seconds later, DJ Hyde was signed to Pride Of Wrestling permanently.

- Sebastian Dark defeated "The Prime Time Player" Teddy Fine (accompanied by Dr. Don Bootz) by submission in 13:44. Teddy made his entrance first....which lasted about 5 minutes....spraying everything and everyone in sight with his "Fiesta Bottle". Dark appeared next, completely unamused and ready to brawl. And brawl they did....all over the Fernwood event center. When the referee was finally able to return them to the ring, Dark was able to apply a compound leglock and force the surrender from Fine. Dr. Bootz, however, attempted to attack Dark from behind. As Dark dealt with "The Mad Doctor" , Fine delivered three of the loudest chair shots in recent memory. Fine then produced hair clippers, and with Dr. Bootz restraining Dark, proceded to shave half of Sebastians long hair. As Dark revived, Fine high-tailed it to the dressing room.....while Dr. Bootz was left to eat a DDT.

-Joey Davino defeated Al Snow (with Head) and Devon Moore to retain the VWA Unified Heavyweight Championship. Snow arrived to the ring with Head in tow, giving the referee fits as Snow refused to leave Head "at ringside", instead using "Head" to threaten and menace Davino and Moore. Davino and Moore countered well, taking every opportunity to double team the legendary veteran. Snow, in turn, showed incredible skill in dealing with the 2-on-1 onslaught. At one point, he was able to connect with a BRUTAL stomp to Davino's head, seemingly rendering the champion unable to continue. Sensing victory and a title victory, Snow lifted Moore into position for "The Snowplow". Davion however, always the opportunist, waited for Snow to connect, then threw the veteran to the ringside floor. Davino immediately covered Moore and retained his title. Snow, in frustration, leveled the champion with "Head", then returned to the dressing room amidst cheers from the crowd.
