All 3 members of the resurging Reality Check were fined an undisclosed amount of money by POW president James Gallagher in the largest fine levied against talent in POW history stemming from their collective actions at the July POW Tag-Team Championship Showcase.
For those not in attendance, the final round of the tournament involved Roberts and Core taking on Bruno DeMaio and his partner Ritch Howe. Howe (who did not have PSAC clearance to compete in the tournament) produced a pair of brass knuckles from his briefcase and rendered Bruno unconsious with a punch to the temple with the knucks in question. A Core/Roberts win was guaranteed, and Howe cemented the return of NEPA's most hated stable by having Core and Roberts sign exclusive deals with him, circumventing the POW hiring process.
POW President James Gallagher was understandably furious. He did, however, concede the tag team titles to the new Reality Check before levying the largest fine in POW history against the offending parties for "damaging the credibility of our new titles."
Gallagher has stated that the new champions will recieve their brand new POW tag-team title belts at the November 1st showcase. Reality Check has not released any type of statement.

Rachel "Sally Good" Townsend Returns To Pride Of Wrestling
Pride Of Wrestling officials have informed us that former New Jersey All-Stars manager Rachel "Sally Good" Townsend has returned to Pride Of Wrestling and will be making her re-debut on November 1st as part of the "Brand New Violence" Showcase in Nanticoke PA.
As several people have already commented, Townsend's return to POW raises a lot of questions. First, she was the manager of record for Lucky, Orange Cassidy, JC Ryder, and Danny Rage. An injury Townsend suffered in a car accident back in April kept her from attending the POW Fernwood showcase.....the showcase that resulted in the release of her clients. We do know that Townsend is back at 100% health and that she intends to continue her managerial career in POW. But given her choice in past clients, her newest find may well be cut from the same cloth and may well be an equal headache to POW staff. It's purely speculation at this point, but Ms. Townsend's past is filled with unsavory characters. We would be remissed in expecting any less on November 1st.
When pressed via telephone as to the identity of her new client/clients, she simply stated that she was not at liberty to discuss the situation, and suggested that we invest $8 on November 1st, if for no other reson than to see what she's wearing...or...knowing Rachel Townsend...what she's NOT wearing.
In any event, it is confirmed that Rachel Townsend will be returning on November 1st at the Nanticoke Armory.

Talks Come Up Short: Davino Declines 11/1 Event
In an unprecedented series of events, VWA Unified Heavyweight Champion Joey Davino has declined to defend his title at Pride Of Wrestling's "Brand New Violence" event on November 1st. This announcement comes on the heels of a seemingly nasty fallout between VWA directors and Pride Of Wrestling President James Gallagher.
While the details we are getting seem sketchy, what we do know for certain is that VWA and POW have had a working relationship since mid-2006, when Matt Turner began defending the VWA championship on POW (at the time VCW) showcases. Then-president Ritch Howe secured the championships again in May of 2008, and President Gallagher seemed to accept the deal at face value when he assumed the office in mid-June 2008. Right around July, however, things went sour.
Announced plans for a VWA Tag-Team tournament were scrapped as Pride Of Wrestling opted to recognize it's own tag team champions. The eventual winners of the POW tournament, Core and Roberts of The Violence Party, are not VWA-oriented competitors, and have refused to defend their newly won titles anywhere except POW.
In retaliation, VWA has refused to make VWA Champion Joey Davino available for the important November 1st charity event. Attempts by Gallagher to sway Davino's stance ultimately proved to be fruitless; Davino will be defending the VWA Championship on November 1st, however, it will not be in Nanticoke or with POW for the current forseeable future. We hope to have more information available soon.
